Why do I need to convert Midi to Mp3?
If you want to play Midi files on your phone, tablet etc. many devices doen't offer support for this file format. By converting your Midi files to Mp3 you'll be able to play your files on a lot more devices.
How do I use this tool/program/converter?
  1. First you have to upload your Midi files to Google Drive
  2. Install MIDI 2 Mp3 from Chrome Web Store
  3. Open your Midi files from Google Drive by choosing "Open with"
Select MIDI 2 Mp3 or choose "Get more apps" and find MIDI 2 Mp3
  4. The Midi file should now open in MIDI 2 Mp3 which will convert your file to Mp3
  5. When finished, return to Google Drive and the Mp3 should appear next to your Midi file
Why does the Mp3 sound different from the Midi file?
The sound you hear when you play your Midi file is most likely generated by your devices soundcard. But since the Midi file is converted to Mp3 using a software synth, each instrument might sound different.
The Mp3 sounds strange, can I fix it?
Sometimes the conversion doesn't work as expected. You can either try to convert again by removing the Mp3 file and open your Midi file again with MIDI 2 Mp3 or you can use another Midi to Mp3 conversion tool.
Why do I get more than one Mp3 for each Midi?
Each time you open a Midi file with MIDI 2 Mp3 it will convert and generate a new Mp3 file. If you reload your browser or happen to click the same Midi file more than once you'll get additional Mp3 files
Think I'm missing files, what happened to them?
MIDI 2 Mp3 doesn't have access to your files and can't remove them. Check the Google Drive documentation for more information.
Why do I get error: "Failed to convert ... to ..."?
If the Midi file you are trying to convert is corrupt then we can't convert it for you.
Why do I get error: "The Midi file ... is too big to be converted"?
Midi files are usually small files. If your file is too big we assume it's not a proper Midi file and you won't be allowed to convert it.
How many files am I allowed to convert?
You may convert as many files as you like.
How often am I allowed to convert?
You may convert as often as you like. As long as the server holds out we will not place any restrictions on this.
Are there any length or time limitations?
We do not have any limitation on length/time, but sometimes the conversion doesn't work as expected. You can either try to convert again by removing the Mp3 file and open your Midi file again with MIDI 2 Mp3 or you can use another Midi to Mp3 conversion tool.
Why is the MP3 is limited to 1 minute?
We do not have any limitation on length/time, but sometimes the conversion doesn't work as expected. You can either try to convert again by removing the Mp3 file and open your Midi file again with MIDI 2 Mp3 or you can use another Midi to Mp3 conversion tool.
